About Us
What We Do
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging of Cresskill (DEIBC) is a non-profit that has served the Cresskill community since 2024.
We are parents, like you, who support our school district's efforts to enhance our schools through fairness and inclusion. We celebrate the unique diversity of each student and family, and we actively work to ensure everyone feels included. We believe that by valuing every single student, we strengthen the entire student body.
It all began with a grassroots community effort to assist our educators in creating and sustaining anti-bias education. We know the many benefits of living in a multicultural town. We believe firmly that every student deserves to know that they are an important part of their school and community.
We champion diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging for all students, families, teachers, staff, administration, and community members. We recognize that our differences are precisely what makes Cresskill unique and our community so strong.

Our Mission
We believe our mission is to be a resource that ensures that the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are embedded in the framework of our schools and the district. We champion belonging and equity; we encourage speaking up and advocating in a collective fashion; we work collaboratively in an effort to promote greater acceptance, inclusion and understanding within our community.
Our Vision
Our purpose is to lead with kindness; to provide resources and support; to offer knowledge and promote community building; to work with teachers, school administrators, students and families while fostering an environment of unity.
Acceptance of race, of all backgrounds, of religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, of those alternatively abled, of those with learning differences and/or who are neurodivergent, of those with different body types, of those with different ways of presenting, of those who meet different educational markers/milestones, etc. Acceptance of all is paramount.
We welcome participation from any community member interested in upholding the principles of belonging for all, and in creating, sustaining and improving equity, inclusion and belonging within the Cresskill schools and throughout our community.
